I am a backend engineer with eight years building enterprise Java systems. Most recently I spent close to three years at EPAM as a Senior Software Engineer, modernising a US wealth management platform from a legacy monolith into independently deployable microservices. Before that, Publicis Sapient, HCL Technologies, Quess and Parahit, across banking, HRMS, ecommerce and telecom, for clients in the US, India, Korea, Australia and Nepal. Day to day that has meant Java 21 and Spring Boot, microservices decomposition, Kafka for event-driven work, REST API design, PostgreSQL and MySQL, and deployment on AWS, Azure and GCP with Docker and Kubernetes. I have also worked across the frontend in React with TypeScript and Angular. I am between roles at the moment, so I have time to give a session my full attention.
